The Architectural Brief
The objective for this private workspace project was to engineer an ergonomic, highly functional home office environment that feels visually detached from residential distractions. The primary challenge centered on structural anchoring and acoustic comfort. The client required an expansive executive desk system that appeared entirely suspended in mid-air, backed by premium wall treatment that would optimize room acoustics for virtual executive meetings while matching a strict minimalist contemporary palette.
The Technical Strategy
To deliver the seamless floating desk illusion without relying on external vertical legs or floor supports, our technical team engineered an internal structural steel chassis. This framework was directly chemically anchored deep into the main load-bearing wall setup before any decorative panels were applied. To handle the unique curved geometry and sweeping architectural arches of the concrete room shell, detailed digital laser scans were performed to adapt the custom-milled wood panels perfectly along the curving perimeters.

The Suspension Desk: Handcrafted from premium walnut slabs, featuring a solid tactile feel, soft rounded edge-profiles, and a matte anti-scratch protective architectural finish.
Acoustic Wall Cladding: Built using deep-grooved acoustic wood slatted panelling over sound-absorbing felt layers, creating a clean vertical pattern that regulates spatial echoes.
Internal Substrate: Formed completely using high-density moisture-resistant core boards to prevent any panel warping or bowing under structural loads over time.
Premium Utilities: Integrated with custom-milled flush pop-up power ports and hidden underside routing to maintain a zero-clutter workspace surface.
Millimetric Precision & Details
The standout feature of this workspace lounge is the invisible technical infrastructure. We precision-milled a dedicated internal technical pathway within the core of the floating walnut desk itself, routing all monitor displays, laptop power grids, and data cables completely unseen through the wall chassis.
Furthermore, high-rendering vertical and horizontal LED task lighting channels were flushed directly into the rear acoustic slatted backdrop. Operating on dimmable smart sensors, these integrated tracks throw a soft, indirect ambient glow onto the raw concrete wall surfaces, beautifully highlighting the contrast between heavy structural textures and refined custom millwork precision.
